Monthly UWMC Board Meeting

Every day, the American Red Cross sees the heartbreak of people trying to cope with more intense storms, heavier rainfall, higher temperatures, stronger hurricanes and more devastating wildfires. As more people rely on the Red Cross for help, the need for compassionate volunteers has never been greater. If you have two weeks and are motivated to help others, we want you. Help the Fresh Coast crew move sheets of plywood in Lower Harbor to create a "road" for tent set up. Volunteers should arrive with work gloves, sturdy shoes and be able to lift and carry at least 50 lbs repeatedly. 

Fresh Coast Home Base will be located in Lower Harbor Park again this year! Clean up volunteer help break down tables and chairs, load them into the truck and make sure the venue clear to take the tent down. 

Fresh Coast Home Base will be located in Lower Harbor Park again this year! Set up volunteers help set up the festival grounds, arrange tables/chairs, and make sure the venue is ready for the film screenings. This position involves lifting 30+ pounds. 

Help the Fresh Coast Crew clean up the box office at the Marquette Commons. Duties include:

• Packing up merchandise
• Rearranging tables and chairs 
• Moving boxes 

This activity is in celebration of #TogetherTuesday, a day when communities come together to make a difference. At Camp STAR, we believe that no child should walk the journey of grief alone, and that the community plays a role in Sharing Together And Remembering.  That’s why we’re launching our encouragement note campaign!

We’re inviting you to write a brief, uplifting note to our campers. All our campers are young people from the Upper Peninsula of Michigan that have lost someone close to them, and your words can help them know they are not alone on their grief journey.
