2022-23 Campaign Co-Chairs Amy Quinn and Alyson Sundberg
The United Way of Marquette County introduces this year’s campaign co-chairs: Amy Quinn and Alyson Sundberg.
Amy Quinn is the CEO of Grow & Lead, a community-based organization working to create bright futures for youth by strengthening the nonprofit sector. Amy previously served as the Executive Director of Four Corners Child Advocacy Center and Commodity Trading Advisor with Cargill, Inc. She has eight years of experience in for-profit and fifteen years in for-purpose corporations. She holds a bachelor’s degree in agriculture business from Colorado State University and a Master of Business Administration from Northern Michigan University.
“A vibrant nonprofit industry is essential for a thriving community,” Quinn said. “United Way is a credible source to help your neighbors because they believe in the Tanzanian proverb that little by little, a little becomes a lot.”
Alyson Sundberg is the Market Director of Risk Management for UP Health System Marquette/Bell/Portage. She has a master’s degree in healthcare administration. Sundberg has been with UP Health System for 24 years and has worked with EMS in Marquette County for over thirty years. She is originally from the Ishpeming area and has participated in a variety of service clubs and local organizations. “It is exciting to be a part of the United Way Campaign for the 2022-2023 season and I am humbled to play a small part with such an incredible group. I believe in the United Way goals and the positive impact that the United Way Partner Agencies and their many projects have on our community. I see many residents in our local area that benefit from these programs. It truly shows what we can accomplish when we all work together.” Quinn and Sundberg have set a campaign goal of $400,000 but hope to raise much more this year. They will be visiting local workplaces throughout the fall to encourage donations and provide information about the local impact your donations have in our community. If you would like to schedule a visit for your workplace or organization, please contact UWMC Executive Director Andrew Rickauer at 906-226-8171.
