photo of woman packing boxAmerican Red Cross - Basic Needs & Emergency Support Services: Provides training for home owners, business owners, and community groups about how to prepare their home and family for disasters by working closely with the Marquette County Emergency Management, the Sheriff Department, Salvation Army, Retired Senior Volunteer Program along with Fire Departments and the United Way.

Marquette County Habitat for Humanity - Hammer it Home 2007: For each family Habitat for Humanity assists in building and purchasing a home, one less Marquette County family will live in poverty housing.

Janzen House - Effects of Unemployment & Underemployment: Provides a safe and adequate living environment for the poor and homeless in the county; provides auxiliary services to improve the quality of life of the residents, promoting their independence; provides food supplement for residents, and maintains an alcohol-and-drug-free environment.

Lutheran Social Services – Homeless Services: A transitional living program for homeless individuals and families in Marquette and Alger Counties. The program provides limited rental assistance and personalized services to help participants achieve self-identified goals in the areas such as life skills, education, employment and transition into permanent, safe, affordable housing.

Salvation Army-Ishpeming - Emergency Services: Program goal is to help low income citizens and others, who require assistance with basic needs, acquire the resources they need to live a productive life. It supplies basic human necessities and provides personal counseling.
